An outdoor fireplace is what keeps you outside after dark in October and November. We've built fireplaces and fire pits since 1998, more than 1,500 of them, and a licensed landscape architect designs each one for the yard it sits in.

What we build
The fire is the center of the space. The pad, surround, and seating flex to fit your budget and the look you want.
A fireplace anchors one side of your patio and gives your chairs something warm to face on cool evenings.
A fire pit pulls everyone into a circle. We set it into your patio or give it a pad of its own.
A seat wall that rings the fire pit gives your guests a built-in place to sit and stay awhile.
Belgard and Techo-Bloc pavers and block form the pad and surround, in a wide range of colors and patterns.
Plain concrete is the most budget-friendly pad. A stamp and color add texture and tone at a price close to pavers.
Masonry takes the most hand labor and material. It's the premium choice for natural stone around your fire.
Why Sugar Hill Outdoors
Rooted in North Georgia since 1997, we design and build every fire feature ourselves, under one residential and light commercial general contractor's license.
We've designed and built fireplaces and fire pits since 1998, so your project draws on decades of finished work.
Two licensed landscape architects, a protected title in Georgia, are on staff. One designs your fire feature, settling placement and seating before building begins.
Atlanta's first Belgard Master Craftsman and one of few in Georgia, a designation requiring a documented record of finished work. We're also Certified Techo-Pros.
You pay by milestone as each phase of your fireplace or fire pit is finished, so every payment follows work you can see.
Every outdoor fireplace installation and fire pit build follows the same three steps, whatever the size of your project.
A licensed landscape architect spends one to two hours on your property, looking at grade, sun, and how you'll use the space around the fire.
About a week later, you see your fireplace or fire pit, surround, and seating in 3D, with permit-ready construction documents you own.
Depending on scope, installation can finish in a single day or run several months for a larger project.
Fire feature cost
Your price moves with size and materials. Every project is priced to your site, and here's the range most of ours fall in.

North Georgia evenings
Winters here are mild, and cool evenings are the norm across most of North Georgia from fall into winter. A fireplace or fire pit gives you a reason to stay out on those nights.
